Page Wilson (CAS partner, University of Iceland) reports:
On 19 October, the UArctic Thematic Network on Critical Arctic Studies held its panel entitled “Arctic Military (In)Securities: Critical Reflections” at the Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavik, Iceland.
It was standing room only as Gunhild Hoogensen Gjorv (University of Tromsø), Judy Boyd (US Dept of Homeland Security/Coastguard), and Özlem Terzi (CAS partner, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) presented their insights on Arctic military matters from US, EU and theoretical perspectives. Page Wilson moderated the session.
We are already looking forward to proposing the next CAS panel at ACA 2025!
