Peter is a Danish architect who wrote a PhD on shopping centres and has studied Arctic cities for over a decade. He is Professor in Urban Design at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design. Here, he directs research at the Institute of Urbanism and Landscape, co-directs the Executive Master in Urbanism programme and teaches urban planning history. He researches Arctic urbanism, urban design practices, strategic design for placemaking, and sustainable urban planning. The geographic scope of his research on the urban Arctic includes northern Scandinavia, Svalbard, Greenland, Canada, Iceland, and Russia.
