The visual representation of the Arctic is a tricky business due to the region’s social, cultural, political and economic diversity. Therefore, we invite the CAS community to submit photos or visual artistic works that represent the Arctic but not in the most conventional way as an icy and empty wilderness. The photos may show yourself and others in different situations, the relations between diverse objects and living entities, local events and whatever comes to your mind when you think about ”Arctic (self-) portraits”.
